The Ultimate Instant Pot Pot Roast

Once you try making your pot roast this way, you will never make another pot roast any other way. This truly is the ultimate Instant Pot pot roast recipe ever! Pot roasts used to be something I only cooked on the weekends because it took way to much time to cook in the oven during the week. But now with my Instant Pot, I can make pot roast anytime we get a craving because it cooks incredibly fast and leaves our pot roast so tender and juicy!

Pot roast is a meal that we grew up eating pretty much every single weekend. Our pot roast consisted of meat, carrots, potatoes, and of course, grab the homemade gravy and dinner rolls. It was one meal I think the whole family looked forward to, and we never got sick of it.

She always would cook it in the oven all day long, nice and slow. So when you pulled it out the meat would just shred instantly, and the flavor was spectacular and it was nice and juicy. One of my favorite parts was the potatoes, they tasted so good soaked in the juices! 


 Prep Time: 10 minutes
 Cook Time: 55 minutes
 Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes

  • 2-3 pound Chuck Roast
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 4 chopped carrots
  • 4 large potatoes in large cubes
  • 2 stalks chopped celery
  • 2 tbs Italian Seasonings
  • 3 tbs A1 steak sauce optional
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbs olive oil

  • Place your pot on Saute.
  • pour olive oil in and your roast just to brown both sides about 1-2 minutes per side.
  • Remove roast and place potatoes carrots and celery in the pot.
  • Top with onions and garlic. Pour wine and beef broth in the pot.
